That's why I gave up on my warrior. It just seemed so pointless. Got very boring, very quickly...and I really enjoy playing a warrior normally. Have a ranger now which is a lovely mix of things, ranged, conditions and the ability to heavy melee too. Most enjoyable.
Too late for me now, iv just hit lvl 60 and put to much time in to this character. I do enjoy the warrior class, its just what i captured in the above picture really destroys the fun with playing a melee class in dynamic events.
If i decide to make another character when im done with this one, it will be a ranged class for sho!
I got an ele up to level 18, didnt like it.Started a ranger, thought i would see how it goes, now level 42 and love it, so agreed, very enjoyable
need some help guys...
Ive just gone to login after not playing for a few weeks and Im being told my password is wrong. When i then click the forgot password link Im taken to a page which simply says 'Not Available'
Have i been hacked?

I'd say it would have to be guardian, because you've got the best defence (And condition removal) plus a solid offence. It only really lacks ranged options.
Having said that I don't like the class - prefer to play thief.
Guardians are fairly underplayed and high demand, their utility group buffs/heals are incredibly welcome especially in explorer dungeons. And they can tank great too. Though personally I play an ele as my main, i try and dodge about with a guardian while I can. My flatmate gets the game tomorrow and will roll a guardian so that will be fantastic

Guardians and mesmers are rarer but very good in a team imo. Not played with necros much so cant say how good/bad they are.

I have to say the more I play thief the more I am enjoying it. Racked up 9hours play so far on him and at lvl 13 
that said some of that time has been afkish.
I was really enjoying sword+dagger. But I'm starting to prefer dagger+dagger at the moment. Still rocking my shortbow as a alt range weap although im tempted to try dual pistols. Deffo my fav class so far, that said I've only tried mesmer and necro. But I'm going to stick to my thief now.

Where are you using your trait points and what weapons are you using? I'm currently 26 and got 10 in markmanship only cos I don't know where to stick the rest! I'm using short bow mainly with a sword now and again when I fancy some variety.

I don't know what it is, but has anyone else's World Map gone all jittery? The game is playing fine as ever, but when hitting 'M' and switching to the map it's like it's suffering from severe lag. The worst part is zooming in and out, I scroll the mousewheel and it doesn't react, then about a second later it plays catch up. I've ruled the mouse out as the '+' & '-' keys on the map screen have the same effect, and in game the mousewheel zooms as smooth as ever.
It's quite good, got mine at 80 and enjoying it but prefer playing my Thief alt.
It has decent damage and pretty good support.
Trait points i have used the first 2 skills marksman and skirmishing, weapons are, longbow main, axe and torch other.
I'd like to do a bit of WvW at some point, but I've seen it mentioned often that xp gains are pretty crazy - don't really fancy skipping a bunch of zone content for a little pvp action

zone 1 to zone 80 is always your level (if you're level 80) so happy days you scale down to old zones so no skipping necessary
True, but not entirely - I'm much more powerful going back to early zones now than I was at first, regardless of the scaling. Plus, rewards from level-appropriate content feel much more satisfying.
