Guild Wars Questions

I'm currently stuck trying to beat Slavers Exile with Heroes, but having a hell of a time with it as I have to respec my Paragon to have Assassin secondary. I can get through the last wing just fine, but the Boss I can't do :(

Make sure you move all the spirits away from Duncan before you go for the kill.

Make sure your heroes are spread around (not grouped up together) otherwise if he gets a Spirit Rift out it'll cause some serious team-wide pain.

Take a Rit with Earthbind, Union, and Shelter, and have them hide next to the stairs and micro keeping the spirits up.

Take LOTS of KD (hammer warrior, Psychic Instability Mes, YMLAD etc etc), and just knock lock him to oblivion.

I've taken him out in less than 30 secs with heroes doing it that way. Took longer to move all the bloody spirits than it did to kill him!

PS - Remember to take Frozen Soil to kill the dwarf mobs on the way to Duncan, their res skills are a right PITA!

If i get Eye Of The North to take advantage of the GW2 HoM thing, do i have to purchase it through steam? As that's where i purchased Guild Wars Trilogy.. any ideas?

I don't think you need eotn to get the HoM rewards, you may need it to actually unlock the HoM rewards but I can view what my character is entitled too despite only having prophecies myself.

You need EotN to be able to dedicate anything in your HoM.

And no, you wouln't need to buy it from steam, you should be able to just add the code from the game start screen, you'll already have all the content downloaded, you just won't be able to access it until you add the key.

Oh god, I've still got to kill him on HM (and do about 15 other dungeons).

All I have left to do in the game is HM dungeons, and I dont really like those.

But master of the north, EOTN reputation titles, and Survivor will get me to 27 titles, then I need to max the consumable ones for GWAMM ....

I dont think I'll be interested enough to get all that done before GW2, hopefully Gwamm will carry over retroactively if I complete it long after GW2 is out.

I LOVE EotN content, so i've got Legendary Master of the North (1027 points to be exact, can't be bothered to scrape for those last few points I'm missing).

HM Dungeons are great fun, though there are some that are absolute swines, that I did once, and never intend to do ever again :D

Frostmaw, Bogroots are the ones I do most often, mainly for the chance of Silverwings and Froggy's :D Good money earners if you happen across one ^_^

Shards of Orr is the one I hate the most, soooooo rage inducing.

But then Kathandrax is also very very bad for my blood pressure :D

Hence I now stick to the easier ones when I want my dungeon fix, or I go clear the FoW, which is my fave area in the game, <3 FoW.

I really do need to get round to doing the UW at some point, i've never done it since Dhuum was added to the game.

Is it Lions Arch I need to get to in Prophecies to be able to portal to other campaigns?

Sick of henchies, theres a real possibility of me going postal next time one nub stumbles into a mass pack and causes a wipe :p

I'm guessing you guys don't do sinways? Shards is a breeze (A/P has a pita job but everything else is fine) and Kath is even easier, just a long way through the dungeon.

Rrager and Bog are the best though!

Dhuum is nice and fun though

No1newts, yes it's Lions Arch. If you follow the missions it goes Northern Wall > Fort Ranik > Ruins Of Surmia > Nolani Academy > Borlis Pass > Frost Gate > Gates of Kryta, upon completion of Gates of Kryta you arrive in Lions Arch.

And not everyone does dungeon's the speed clear way.

This. Speed clears are boring. I prefer doing them with a proper hero build, or with friends.

SC are good if you just want to farm, but I like to actually play the areas I go to.

Also the only Sin I have is my storage character, I hate Sins (and Dervish) with a passion, they totally don't fit my playstyle at all :D

Ta :)

I'm only up to Ruins. When I reach Arch I will have to get sone heroes!

Three quarters of the way through the stupidly long Nolani Academy mission when I died and it reset the whole thing. Balls to that!

It will take a while to summon up the desire to slog though all that again

Henchies and Prophecies is a pita. Like others have said get yourself to Lions Arch and go get some hero pals, there not perfect but the AI is far better.

Assassin speed clears are purely for lamers who enjoy playing lameway :o

Shadow Form seriously should have been Smiter's Boon-ed (PVP) by now, but for PVE.

Thinking of picking this up today as GW2 looks to be very interesting. Do I just install and start a game? Are there any servers I should join/not join ect?
Thanks
