Man, my wrist hurts! I'm better on the pad (played the demo with the pad last night)

Is anyone better with the pad? I don't want to be! I'm really bad a moving my fingers, haha...I take it everyone just sits there first three fingers on the greem, red and yellow buttons? I'm only doing it on easy!

If you're emulating a guitar then you pretty much use just three fingers for the majority of playing, bar a few situations. On normal I use just the 3 fingers and move them around. I imagine on hardest you will be forced to use all 4 fingers.
 
Yeah the pad is easy but it's not really 'playing' the game properly.

On easy I think I used my first 3 fingers on Green, Red and Yellow (not done easy since Guitar Hero 1!!) then medium bring the pinky finger into play on blue.

Hard is where the real problems start! You'll either need to stretch a finger down to orange or move all your fingers down a button and stretch up for green.
 
At least the songs didn't suck on GH2. I can't even be assed to go and complete hard because I just can't be ****** to do the crap songs again and with no difficaulty.

Still can't do Raining blood though. To make things worse I have friction burns on the tips of my fingers from trying to do it. *sigh*

Also what's the deal with online? I constantly get "failed to connect to game" and when I do finally join all people want to play are TTFATF and any song in tier 8.
 
Starting to get bored with this game now :(

Finished on easy and medium but hard is just too hard and with the majority of the songs being rubbish imho its just not inspiring me to want to practice more.

Got a slight fault on the green button so might use that to send it back.
 
I just tried the demo of GH3 and of course played with the pad. It was good fun I think I'll buy this.
 
Finished Medium now with 4 stars on most and 3 on some. Highlights for me were Cherub Rock, Knights of Cydonia which took me ages to finish but I adore the song, Number of the Beast and One by Metallica. All in all found medium a lot more challenging than GH or GH2's, maybe i'm just rusty but it seemed a lot harder anyway.

Other than that, I'm mostly just pretty ****** at the lack of DLC for PSN at the mo... give the damn foo fighters pack already!

I just looked at the price on the 2 usual gaming stores and it's £75. Balls to that. Anyone know if the 360 version is around £60 in the high street. I see above but that's just for the PS3 isn't it?

ShakenStirred even recommends the competitor.. i got my 360 guitar/game for £53 from that place too. (discounted)
 
Gah, playing co-op and the GF woops my ass, its annoying paying £30 for the guitar only for me wanting to use the pad as its easier!
 
Well I bought this yesterday for the princely sum of £53.99 (£60 -10% student discount even though I'm not a student). All I can say is this is the best game of this kind that I've played since Samba De Amigo on the Dreamcast. Brilliant fun and my wife is even considering picking up the guitar and having a go.
