Gutted

I can see what your saying best get someone on here thats has same board to take a picture of there socket to see if its sticking out the same as yours.

yes the screw in the far end

I see what your saying, but that dose not change the fact the the socket as pads or seats or stoppers or what ever you want to call them that stops the CPU been pushed into the socket so as to stop damage. + all the pins and sloped to the left no matter how hard you push the cpu i cant see how it would bend them in all directions. it would flatten them if any thing was to happen

WOW still going on about this.. them pics show nothing, the slot can only screw in as far as the stoppers.. You wiped it with tissue untill PROVEN otherwise.

the photo's are not of the same socket or board. note the number of resistor's in the centre on backing plate.

Helo's resistor = 19
Other board = 18

Nowt to do with me m8 :)
All I've done is resized his images and put them side by side.

But I think the OP is referring to the socket clamp, so regardless of what board its fitted to its still a foxcon socket.

How does the back of the board have any relation with the bent pins on the front of the board? I may have misread your situation but I dont understand how that would answer some of the speculations brought up in this thread.

Because that is the screw that holds retention arm and thatis why socket mechanism is faulty m8, hence the damaged pins

Have you reported that to the manufacturers of your board? or where you bought it from? Not sure how much good it would do you but its probably worth a try =/
