Why is everyone so annoyed?

It's a cat? I mean, yeah it's pretty bad he'd do that to a cat, but it's a cat? It's not like he's put his new born in there is it?
 
So a cat scratches you, you chuck it in the microwave.

Okay next time you accidentally barge into me in the street I'll club you round the head with a baseball bat.

Seriously wtf is wrong with that person.

So unfair on that cat.

it's the incredible cruelty to an otherwise helpless creature that will suffer debilitating effects of this for the rest of it's life?

it's roughly equivalent to me cutting one of your hands off for cutting me off in traffic.

Not really? I'd spend every second annoyed then? Terrible things happen constantly. You can be disgusted by them and think it's horrible, but don't get annoyed over something that you can't hope to stop.

It's a cat guys, it's not the end of the world and it's not worth getting worked up about. They judge will punish him. Cat lived didn't it?
 
Still giving of heat 7 hours later? That seems pretty incredible for just 5 seconds in a microwave. Presuming it was more than just body heat, I can only conclude that cats retain heat a lot better than potatoes.

yes, and will continue to live with untold health affects. just like you'd continue to live without a limb. your life would be considerably worsened, but you'd live, so that's okay right?

considering the apparent effects (burst blood vessels in eyes, swollen tongue and brain) it was probably closer to 60 seconds.
just think, if that's only a 600W microwave, that's 36 kilojoules, enough to boil more than 120ml of water.

Umm because it's cruelty to animals? And most people have some sort of affection towards animals.

You clearly don't.
 
I have pets? I care for said pets.

I'm not about to go all nerd rage over some idiot putting a cat in a microwave. These things happen, there are stupid people out there, there are horrible people out there, there are people who make mistakes too.

There is more to life people. Don't hate else you'll spend all your time all annoyed and worked up, it's not good for you.
