If the game only needs the DLLs you probably won't see any install prompt or add/remove programs entry.
Thats the thing it is there and if i remove it just reinstalls it when i boot the game lol.
Behave yourselves people.
It's only really one person though ain't it?![]()
I have to be impartial.
These threads always end up with something going on in them.
Physx on a CPU isnt really Physx imo its just Physics in a game :\
ultimately they said "AMD and Nvidia should provide perfect drivers from release and for every new game that comes out, anything less is failure".
Physx is Nvidia only and doesn't run via cpu.
Physx on a CPU isnt really Physx imo its just Physics in a game :\
Well i never started the abuse as you can see.

Personally I find it quite odd some that people use improved driver performance as an opportunity to be critical; they are always glass half-empty going on about "my card has been crippled since release until now, disgraceful" rather than "my card has just got a nice boost, awesome". The fact is you should judge the relative performance of hardware at the time you make the purchase and either you consider it worth the money based on that or you don't.
lets say you start seeing a new partner and decide to 'become an item'. Then a few months down the line they read the Kama Sutra and suddenly become 20% better in the sack. Are you going to be happy or instead say "why weren't you this good in previous months, I hate you"?
[I guess a better analogy might be one involving hookers, but let's not go there]
Post whatever tripe you like but as soon as someone corrects it, people get told to behave or the thread gets closed...Fantastic work.
Been reading this thread and this stuck out!
Warcraft MMO is a Nvidia game, they are all over Nvidia with this game, maybe that has something to do with it?
So just because the game usually has better performance on Nvidia cards its acceptable that it took AMD an entire year to fix the widespread random system lockups caused by its drivers while running the game?
Its a game from 2004 that uses an engine from 2002 which hasn't seen a big graphical update since 2010, added to that its one of the most popular games on the planet, AMD should have had the drivers working properly with it in time for their cards launch, not 12 months later.
I like a lot of WoW players affected by the issue eventually moved from the HD7900 series to the GTX600 series entirely due to the driver issue and AMD's lack of interest in fixing it. I fully accept that its only one game (albeit one of the most popular in existence) but I would greatly have preferred not to have had the issue, my confidence in AMD has taken a big knock as a result.
That's what I took from the quoted section as well, just seemed like a bunch of self-righteous by-the-numbers statements that don't add any value or insight and are basically a waste of bytes. The big players have been doing this for over a decade, it is nothing new for performance to improve post-release.

I like this.
It's more about personal agendas than anything else when it comes into discussion, just an excuse for a blatant put down at the end of the day when talking about driver improvements, usually coming from users of the other vendor imho.
I like this better though.
Please respect each other and keep it civil guys/girls please.![]()
