H2OC Trident - 60'c+ Playing games - Can I Improve the W/C?

I bought the trident system too!

I have exactly the same problem.

If I was confident enough to play about, unscrew the rad and let the air out then I wouldn't have needed too pay the extra for a pre-built system.

I'm not quite sure what to do about it.

I noticed some people were too quick to jump on the bandwagon "it's appauling, not good value for money, a single rad will never cool that, you shouldn't have bought it....." etc rather than tackling the problem.

If he had posted he had a thermochill triple rad, you might have actually tried to help him (you know who you are ;))

Qudos to those that did help the OP.

I said it was appalling and it was. 60 degrees while gaming under watercooling is appalling in my mind. It is also appalling that his and the other in this thread were sent out like that. Almost £1500 and suffering from heat problems. That's bad!!

Even if it was a Thermochill rad (which i don't have and my temps are a fraction of his original 60 degrees) it would still be appalling. In fact it would be even worse.

my q6600 at 3.4 runs at 65'c under full load under a thermaltake v1 cooler
obviously its much much lower whilst gaming
im moving to cstom water soon - i can see why people think that the temps are unacceptable

in ocuk's defence though- i bet they do build a lot of systems and at 1500 its something that shouldnt go wrong - but these things do happen

The point is you said it was appalling (and it was) but just accepted that it was down to the kit ocuk fitted and never looked further.

Now he has it working properly, his temps are more than good which justifies ocuk choice of kit.

Friday afternoon system
best will it the world it Happens with all things, end of the day you got the results that you expected.

Didn't like the comment that the temps are fine from Dr.sarf that just dosn't look good when they obviously aren't that is if he is speaking for OC
even more disappointing that its happened twice though

Ask them to come and get it. Bleed it and send it back to you. In my opinion though, that Bay reservoir/pump combination will always allow some air back into the system when it gets moved about and I wouldn't have specified the system like that, so there is no guarantee that it won't come back the same.

I'd have gone for the other XSPC combination unit where the pump is always submerged or the Swiftech Micro-res and a separate pump. Where abouts are you? Maybe some kindly forum reader could help out with the bleeding?

I don't even have any instructions or installation guide

The tubes are coming out of the bottom side:-

I can't see any screws to unscrew:-

Can someone give me a step by step idiots guide?

The radiator screws on from outside the case - the fan is sandwiched in between the radiator and the case.

If you look at the back of the fan mount you'll see the four bolts or screws you need to undo.

Good Luck Lizard - Hope it cures your high temps mate!

Just be aware that if, like mine, the rad IS full of air then you'll need some top-up fluid to top the Res back up to keep it from pumping more air back into the system.
