H4 bulbs and good LED sidelights

The best LED sidelights you can get are the philips 4000k ones. I have lost count the amount of times I have looked for sidelights to match my H.I.D's which do not look blue and chavy.

Nice, will have to look into these for my Mazda 3, the yellow-ish sidelights look silly next to the xenons.

Want some nice white bulbs for my Seat Ibiza Mk5 but apparently some bulbs cause error messages on the dash and it doesn't sound too straight forward.

I ended up ordering some Ring Xenon Ultima 120% jobbies as some positive comments can be seen in this thread and elsewhere so we'll see how we get on :)

Well my reply is late but atm I use Piaa xtreme white plus which are supposedly 4000k, and around +90% light I think?

They work very well and do look a warm white and used to chuck out a massive amount of light and still do, however after 5 years of them in the car they are starting to yellow and are not as bright so ive bought some Osram night breaker unlimited which are +110% h4 bulbs.

also for side lights I use these

I went for the 5000k sidelights, perfectly white and chuck out good light. My side lights are in a reflector housing so the 360 degree led works best for me.

I've gone a different direction.. "Rally H4s"

130w/90w :D

Nice fat filament but higher wattage. :D

Will be keeping an eye on my crappy peugeot wiring for a while just in case as I didn't fit any relay kit with them.
Had them in my standard Subaru headlights for years without issue, so as they were in the garage in a box and one of my 55w standard ones went pop last week I thought I'd bung them in. :D

I was a bit wary of something like that as mine have big plastic clusters and no doubt the wiring would melt and clusters set on fire lol

It does say on the box "safe for plastic headlights"

Good enough for me. :D

I think I've lost 10 bhp through my alternator when I switch them on though :D

Each bhp is equivalent to about 746W so they must really be something if you're losing 10bhp:eek:

I haven't had to change a headlight bulb on my 06 Fiesta yet (that i can remember) but my passenger side one died last week so I've just ordered a pair of the OSRAM Nightbreakers. Got some OSRAM ones for the rear when the break light went and reviews seemed to be mainly good so hopefully they'll do me well!

Heard the head lights are a bit of a pain in the bum to put in on the Fezza though because its hard to get to the headlight enclosure - we'll see!

Was doing a major service on the pug on Saturday so left it ticking over will all the lights, hazards and full beam on while I did some other work..
(was waiting for it to get hot after a coolant change so I could bleed it properly and check the fan operation.)

Wiring didn't melt, fuses didn't blow. I consider that tested :D \o/
260watts is quite bright, especially when you walk round the front of the car and the headlights are at eye level on the ramp!!

It's easier to take the headllights out to fit bulbs, pop the grill off then 3 nuts on each one and they pretty much slide out with a bit of wiggling.

HID's and wiring all removed now and normal bulbs in, the Ring +120's, pretty good, plenty bright, just miss the HID whiteness. But, happy they work properly now :)
