Getting a h60 delivered tomorrow, any tips on fitting them that i need to know?
Also I have an SP120 performance edition to fit onto this. could i run this along with the stock fan in push/pull or will i be best off sticking with the single sp120?

Do i connect the pump to the cpu fan on mobo then run the radiator fan direct off a molex or case fan on mobo ?

Also Is it best to have as an exhaust?

Thanks

I have mine set up as intake on the rear as I found the temps to be a good 3-5 degrees lower on idle. As long as you have good ventilation out the top of your case then it should be fine.

My motherboard had a CPU Fan header and a CPU_OPT header, I attached the fan to the CPU_OPT and its fine. My pump runs at a constant 4600 ish RPM.

Here is my config, slightly out of date now as I have a new graphics card and larger top fans.

Seem that the radiator will not fit directly to the case. The part of the case that the expansion cards go into is in the way. Looks like having it as an intake. Or am I doing something wrong?

I think I had would have had the same problem if I wanted to mount the RAD direct to the case but i never tried exhaust push, only exhaust pull. then switched to intake push!

You could mount as exhaust as a pull setup but I just don't think it will be as effective. To me pulling cool air over the rad is better, down side is it will heat the case up, hence needing good top exhaust fans

After reseating a couple of times due to one of the riser screws being slightly bent finally got fitted. Temps are a little higher than my gelid though so not good. Think i will have to replace the TIM and re seat again.

After 20 mins prime 95 my max temp is 80 degrees. My gelid had max temps of 78 degrees after a longer run on prime.

Hhhmm, what are your temps at what cpu speed?

Mine idles between 25-29 at 4.2 but that is with speedstep on.

Mine went on first time though without any issues

I'll be honest, I never bother running prime95. I don't overclock by silly amounts so I just rely on idle temps and max temps when i'm gaming. I have not seen my i7 go above 40 degrees yet.

Re seated the h60 with ic diamond. The temps are a lot better.

Running the 4.4ghz auto overclock i am now getting these results:

Now testing a manual overclock of 4.5 on lower vcore, temps so far are good:

How long should i run prime to test stability?
