Hacked again

Bought myself an authenticator about 6 months ago after my mate got hacked, is seriously the best £6 i've ever spent. I probably get around 6 or 7 phishing emails every week, so its clear the scamers have 50% of my login details already so the authenticator is peace of mind.

No, it was identical to the e-mail I get when I do change my password - it also didnt have any links to login pages.

In that case, I sugegst you check your account and change the password.

It's most likely something innocent.

For instance, someone has forgotten their username and password (it happens!), tries to remember username and comes up with yours. They go to the remember password page, click the link to send a password renewal email, and because it;s your account not theirs, it comes to you.

In that situation, it's perfectly safe. But if someone else has gained access to your account, and tried to change the password, it will also send a link to your email address, alerting you to the password change and giving you a chance to change it back. If that's the case, you'd better do that quickly because the hacker will change the email registered with the account and the password.

It was an actual your password has been reset e-mail - I have since changed it an added an authenticator. If someone did steal it they woulkd be a a little disappointed with my not used in 3 years and no gold account......

(Thanks to the person that pm'd me - I will call to check.)
