Had iTouch stolen, any point in reporting it?

Just to confirm - OP is from Liverpool and had left an iPod and a Sat Nav in an unattended Car?

And he's saying they were stolen!!??? NOWAI!

Not like I left it on the street with a sign saying rob me >.<

Thanks for the advice guys, will pop into the local police station on my way back from uni tomorrow and see what's what.

Anything valuable left in an unattended car should be considered public property.

I hope you learned something at least.

How are you going to claim on your insurance without a Police crime number? Of course you should report it.

Oh and...

I have already had the window replaced on insurance and they said I didn't need a crime report number. It would only be needed if I claimed for the items stolen (Which it isn't worth doing due to how much the policy would increase by).

I've not owned an iTouch before. I think I'm going to buy an iTouch. You know, one of those new iTouch's with the front facing camera? 4th gen iTouch, isnt it?

There must have been some evidence for high value goods for them to break in?

Usually the marks on the windscreen left behind by the suckers of the hands-free kits and satnav mounting brackets... a surefire dead giveaway.

I remember going to see Mr Nanny (with Hulk Hogan) in the cinema with my parents, years ago. Dad parked the car in the multistory opposite and that was that.

Came out after the film and some dirty yobbos had broken in to the car and stolen 3x 1Kg bars of dairy milk, that we'd had for Easter :(

Not sure which was worse.. The feeling of being robbed or watching the film then being robbed.

Did the insurance cover the chocolate?
