Half Life 2 mods

Thanks, but we're not doing any more mods. I'm too busy trying to make my business I started up a year ago work and Richard got a job as a games designer through Rock 24. The last thing he wants to do is make more games stuff when he gets home and I never get any time to myself as it is. We do still talk about doing another mod every few months but then we remember just how much work it is. The ideas bit is great fun but then trying to make it all work just takes a lot of hard graft so we don't get as far as actually making anything.

Cheers for playing!

The HEV suit is removed from you by the combine when you are taken from the ship. When you wake up in your cell you have to work out the two puzzles to get in to the air vent above the cells. These are probably the hardest two puzzles in all the levels.

Thanks for the help :)

I just assumed that because there was a health unit in the room after you drop out of the air vents that I was supposed to have the suit and health counter.

Its a great mod by the way, the intro level was awesome. :)

Ah, good point - we should have gone with health packs rather than a health unit there. :p

The sauce engine was a let down, the SDK was no good so all the good looking mods moved to other engines :(:)

The Source SDK is far far FAR better than UnrealED, Cryengine Sandbox, etc. I just think you've never touched it or aren't very good with it. My only complaint about the tools are displacements mapping and even then it's not that hard to work with.

Damn, I wish I could mod like that. :p

Hang on... I'm sure I read about Rock 24 on Steam? That was made by you? :D

Same as. I would actually donate to the cause if they had one of those buttons on their site.

Tell me about it, I'd help physically on the project if I could! :p

Evilmod.de might be alrite as well...but they only do monthly updates, and sadly seem to fall into the category of 'randomly stop making it then start up again' craze.

Same with Black mesa, no real updates for ages now.

Anyone played Insurgency? Its one of the better made mods out there. Its literally 1 shot 1 kill and very realistic in terms of movement and speed. You have to have some patience before playing it. Seems to be some work being done to it all the time.

I'm still waiting for Black Mesa Source :(

I wish that they would put some sort of indicating of how far along they are on the website. I spent ages once trawling through the forums for the developer posts. From reading that lot it seemed that they were near to finished  maybe not.

The level design screenies look great.

If they do it rite, it will be awesome.

This is what Half life: Source should have been really. :)

Anyone ever play Sven Co-op for HL1? What a great mod that was. So fun with my mates. I really hope they sort out one for HL2. Theres was an abundance of co-op maps released for it too, unofficial and official.
