Halfords current guarantee does not cover items with moving parts (i.e. ratchet spanners), but their guarantee did cover these a couple of years back.
You'll probably need the receipt and a bit of pestering to get them to replace your old bits.

I still have the receipt for mine just in case, but as I said - have replaced one bit before without any quibles

I think the lifetime warranty only covers Professional/Advanced stuff? Might be wrong however.

I thought it was only the pro stuff and the older set is stamped as Halfords Professional - the newer as 'Advanced' (and looks cheaper)

Mine is the 'newer' Advanced and has the Lifetime Warranty.

Seriously just moan like hell if need be, I've never had a receipt either and i've had a spanner and a socket replaced.
