halo 3 for pc??

I doubt any existing Halo game would come to PC anytime soon MS simply no longer care about PC Gaming its all about Xbox to them or Win 8 App Store only XBLA level games. Halo2 servers are about to be closed forever. Those Steam registry entries are most likely because Valve are playing around with having console communities on their forums to get more console games into Steam than anything else.

Eurogamer got a response back from MS:
"We currently do not have plans to release any 'Halo' titles on Steam," said a Microsoft spokesperson in response to our query.

lol Omaeka always moaning about something, start8 puts start button back, you have a messy desktop, use fences man and get rid of those icons, job done.

You can change it to exactly how it is in your screenshot. Why are your desktop icons so big and chubby? :p

May upgrade if that's the case! What are games like on it? Run well? :D

Who's Jen? ;)

I'll cut you bro.

I will have a go at uploading a screen of my win8 desktop.

Does look good, just need to expand the tabs to have names and get the Windows button back.

Maybe if there were no crappy things, I wouldn't have owt to moan about. :o

Why would you want to have huge bulking tabs with your start bar and your quick launch?
I just want me some icons down at the bottom I can click to launch stuff, I don't need the names of it with huge tabs as I can see what they are lol.

Your task bar as far as I can see is full of chubby tabs taking up insane amounts of retail space.

I currently have 8 applications as icons taking up barely any space, less percentage space than your start and quick launch bar.

I much prefer old school Windows, I hate the icons as they just feel tacky to me. I would have Windows Classic if it wasn't absolutely miniature on my screen and impossible to read. :p

I never have more than four applications open anyway, and when there is too many tabs, they just squish abit and keep their names on em.

Plus I'll just get confused eventually. :D

To answer your question about games I have only ran into one issue. Batman Arkham City the GFWL overlay did not popup but all you do is move two files over from a folder:

Although this may have been fixed by now, but apart from that all my games seem fine. Mine was £15 so was a bargain, would I pay more then say £30 if I had win 7, the answer would be no, then again I don't know the future of win 8.

Dont know how anyone can call Halo 3 the weakest, for me it was the best and the worst was reach. Reach completely made up storyline that went against the lore of halo.... The Fall Of Reach book is amazing but the game was disapointing. Anyway i think its abit late to be bring out a halo 3 on pc.

Agreed, IMO anyway. I spent literally thousands of hours on multiplayer during college, I've genuinely never had more fun on any other game.

The weekend matchmaking events, making forge maps with your mates and playing games like infection just made it so much fun.

I know the community wouldn't be there like it was years ago if it was released on pc, but it would be nice to just have in my library. Nothing is going to convince me to buy another console now, it's essentially just an easy payday for microsoft.

Halo 3 for PC? Yeah right, I also saw on the Steam database list Brutal Legend from Double Fine... Apparently many games end up on the Steam CDR Database list but never get released on to Steam..

I don't think this'll happen, you've more chance of Forza or GT5 heading for PC, and that's not going to happen - ever..!!

As for Win8, there is Zen Pinball FX2 which is Win8 only, so Win8 only games are already appearing.. Silly, Windows 7 is still quite popular, see how it goes.

I dont like expanded tabs but thats just my own personal taste.
As for the start button you just right click in the bottom left corner of the screen and most of the stuff that is on the Win7 start button appears.

Huh? Wait, Halo 2 came out on PC?!

I can't believe I missed that! I really enjoyed Halo 1, and had assumed that they just weren't porting the others in the series to PC.

Well, well. Is it worth getting now? I guess it might seem a little dated? I don't care about MP no longer being supported. Only interested in the SP campaign if it still stands up as a good game today.

I believe they have shut down the Halo 2 servers now so you would only get single player.

Windows 8 upgrade doesn't sound so bad anymore ;). As for Halo 3, the weird thing is, there was a community hub for it not too long ago on Steam, it's been taken down now though.

That wouldn't bother me tbh if the SP game stood up well. The graphics from the xbox version look horribly blocky now, though. Not sure I could get over that. Although I did really quite enjoy Halo 1 it must be said.

Actually, I think I remember now why I missed it. Wasn't it a Vista-only exclusive? I would have been on XP at the time (with no intention to upgrade) and I think I just ignored it and then promptly forgot it even existed...

Yeah, also I figured it was JUST an upgrade so you had to have win7 installed first. Turns out it is an ISO download so you can install from scratch. Guess I was just being thick thinking that.

How is windows 8 anyway? Honestly didnt even know it released until 2 weeks ago, not heard much about it at all.

You can't believe how anti-windows 8 I was before I took the plunge and upgraded. Basically my Windows 7 install was in need to formatting and as I wanted a new SSD I decided to go with Windows 8 Pro instead of sticking with Windows 7 Home Premium.

After a few days of getting used to it I wouldn't go back now, the live tiles and metro apps are cool and useful for having direct access to information on the home screen without the need to go to a website and the OS just flies, especially on an SSD. The back-end improvements are worth the plunge!

I can't stand the Metro stuff lol, but that is the beauty of win 8 you can use it or you don't have to. Should keep everyone happy really :D
