Halo: Combat Evolved and others coming to XBLA

How big in filesize are Xbox games? 4gb? Hopefully they are adding more servers dedicated just to downloading these things :) I would rather they gave us dedicated servers for gaming on Live though first rather than downloading 5 year old games TBH.

It's a bit easy to add on things to a 40mb old game, to do that with Halo they would probably need to re-code the full game, basically making a new game, I really doubt it will be anything like that, my bet is they will be the original games, with no achievements.

I don't think adding achievements would be difficult at all, however big the game is. As others have said, it would be surprising if they didn't add achievements.

Halo running optimized in widescreen, excellent :) (if) What we really need though is, Rallisport Challenge 2 for some Multiplayer Rallycross goodness, oh yes.

Yeah, I was thinking it was more a case of a flag from X box live and the dashboard more than something within the game itself.

Games coming initially will be:
Halo
Fable
Farenheit
Crimson Skies
Burnout 3

i'll have the above if they have achievements.

Bungie has been pestered for ages to rerelease Halo with online multiplayer, coop and achievements now. I REALLY hope this is it. Games released on the XBL always had modifications, achievements and touchups including online modes - I hope Halo is treated to the same courtesy. Bungie would be CRAZY to miss this opportunity.

fingers XXXXX for co-op and achievements, but I'd expect them to be unchanged and they will miss my pennies. although as you say, XBL arcade games all have achievements and some form of LIVE service.

For reference, the PC version of Halo only clocks in at just under 700mb.
