a few others are suing over their royalties as activision seems to be sticking to the absolute word of the contract rather than a "fairer" interpretation.

Basically IW whored themselves out and are now ****ed they didn't ask for more.

About 40% of the people who worked on modern warfare 2 are currently suing activision (including some who still work at infinity ward). The suggestion is that activision are withholding mw2 bonuses to stop people leaving before the next one is made. Every single senior designer at infinity ward has left and it seems that they have joined respawn which is a new company set up by the ex-heads of infinity ward who are also involved in legal cases with activision.

Saying a few people were fired is just a slight understatement! Also most of the people left because they wanted to not because they were fired.
