Halo MCC - Halo 4 - 17th November

There was a huge update recently that fixes some common issues.

Sadly 343i killed Halo off quite well. Multiple dev teams worked on MCC on xbox and it ended up not working very well at all. It took 2yrs for 343i to admit their mistake and apologise for their ignorance. 5yrs on the community is either gone or didn't bother to come back. And the PC release was rushed out the door unfinished, again splitting the community. And the competitive players annoyed at mouse vs controller advantage. You also have once popular playlists on rotation due to no players too.

Myself a big fan haven't even bothered to buy Reach on PC. But would buy if players were there to chat with. Bought the XB1 soley for MCC, so my frustration with 343i failing to safe guard Halo is high.

But, H2A looks very nice on console, it just runs at 10 to 30fps. So on PC will be nice.

Personally, I wouldn't pay £30 for it (the collection). But it's worth playing. Either Game Pass or wait for a sale (which may be next year, given most of the collection hasn't been released yet).

Is the £7 for multiplayer only? For campaign i'd say £7 is defo worth it, if included.

Game Pass trial on xbox is £1 for a month, which includes Reach. PC has a beta for GamePass, which includes Reach also. You'll need to download the MS xbox app though.

5 full games with great campaigns for £30 is well worth it in my opinion, that's if you don't touch the multiplayer at all too.

Honestly to me it's getting on for Orange Box levels of content for the money.

Some nice comparison footage of the OG Halo and the upcoming PC MCC version taken from last weeks 'flighting' session: (skip to 03:00)

Oh god, this is SO much better than Reach, performance is buttery smooth, sound is perfect. A MUCH better 'remaster'.

Running it at 5120x2880 (upscaled via nvidia control panel, native resolution is 1440p), 144fps and it looks sublime. Really impressed, if they can do the same for the rest of the Halo's, I'll be a happy bunny.
