Hammond Critical - Top Gear Car Crash!

Conflicting news stories at the moment. Website says that he was unconscious upon arrival at the hospital, TV says he walked in to air ambulance?!?

Either way it sounds serious, lets hope he makes a full recovery and he gets to have a laugh at the crash in the next series.

Also aparrently he was testing a jet-powered car.

He was trying to break the land speed record for some car. He was going at 280mph.

280 mph, the spokesperson from the fire services who was attendant at the scene is saying. The fire guy is saying that the roll cage and things in the car saved his life.

Filming for an upcoming episode of Top Gear by all accounts. He's in hospital in Leeds.

He seems a really nice bloke in person. Only talked for a couple of minutes about his Morgan

Will he have to have his teeth done again now though? ;)
