Living up to the Captain Slow nickname you seem to be getting these days? :p

The problem with a big-engined car is that if you press the 'go faster' pedal too much, you find a tank of petrol disappears in a matter of miles :p I tend to drive the '2 fairly sensibly as I can then get 2-weeks of commuting to a tank. Some spirited driving sees that drop to less than a week

You're preaching to the converted. I also drive a 3 litre BMW. :)

Aha, I should keep up with things :p Silly weather... no car tarting up for me :(
I just washed mine inbetween showers. Now its raining down properly :(

I was hoping to apply some polish this afternoon too :(

With rehard to big engines, I agree with you 100%. The 3.0 diesel I have is so much more efficient cruising at 70 than it is at 80. It means a competiton between head and heart everytime I go on the motorway!

BTW, I'm now planning on coming to this, so the "maybe" can be removed :p

Nobody is travelling down the A36?

Willd58 cannot attend so I won't be in covoy with him.

I'd convoy down with you, but i'm not living at home at the moment, so i'd be coming down the A3.

I'll miss out on the windscreen wiper waving :(

I might be up for this...if anyone can provide me with a postcode, or can meet up with anyone and convoy with them?

Also I can finally meet Fox and I can then show him around my car :p I know he's been dying to :D

Bah, just realised I'm going to a house warming party this weekend. The Manta would have been ready by the weekend too, we're planning on going to devon in it. I don't know, six cars in the house and mine is considered the best bet for a cruise to devon. I might pass you on the way down fox, I'll keep an eye out for silver BMWs;).

Easiest would be to convoy with me to the Watford convoy - it'll work out about £1.50 extra than to go straight there on your own, and the Watford convoy's becoming quite big now!

I'll be coming straight back, but I'll be sat nav'd up so no chance of getting lost :p

I have decided to drive the A36 all the way there as it has some great fun parts and is more interesting than the M4, although 10mins added to journey time it is 30miles less than the motorway route. Anyone along this route?
