Handheld external harddrive

My daughter is at university she has a macbook pro. she is wants to buy a handheld external harddrive something small enough that she can put in her bag. price is important as well as quality, she wants about a 500gb but doesnt mind having a 1tb. Any reccomendations would be appretiated. thanks :cool: :D :cool:
 
The unit below will be fine, I have a Western Digital version which powers of the USB socket and use between my Mac Book and main PC.

thanks to all of you, i had a look on all of them. I had a look at the one you said RJC my daughter is going to go for that one as she wants to use it between her mac and window 7. could i have a bit more information about it is it formatted for mac or window 7?
 
Most drives come formatted for Windows, however no great shakes formatting for mac iirc.

I think mac can read/write to fat32, gets a bit hazy wrt nfts, iirc it can read nfts, however l think it needs a programme to write to it if it is mac OS X.
