It says its a new UI and people don't like change. Nothing new there at all. It happens on every redesign.
Even happened with the start menu. There was huge backlash about it.
More recently same with the ribbon menu in office and now used in most of widows. But. Guess what start menu, ribbon. People use and like and get angry if its removed.
But but... get this as a radical suggestion. What if it was better to use than the Start Menu? That way, nobody would have to be forced over and there would be minimal whinging.
And off course itaboutprofit and market share, what company isn't.
It's the way the market has shifted and that's that, untill the market shifts again.
I'd rather have a high quality product than one ruined in the pursuit of a quick buck. You're really making Microsoft sound like EA here.
