Hard drive error :|

i got a hard drive and i tried to insert it into my current,when i had connected it and booted,it said error reading disk or something.
Can anyone tell me the problem?

*possible problem is that there is a full windows etc on that hard drive with a bios of another computer*

Sounds like the new disk is jumping ahead of your original one in the BIOS boot order. Jump into the BIOS and make sure the right drive is first.
