Hard drive help needed please

My mates Laptop went haywire. Couldnt access windows etc.

Took the hard drive out of his PC and attached it to my laptop where it said it needed to be formatted. Ok, so did that and all ok.

Now, when i put it back into his laptop and tried to reinstall win 7 it came up with driver needed for the drive at the part where it tries to recognize hard drive before a format etc.

I put a spare hard drive in his laptop and that went ok.

Any ideas why his is throwing a wobbly? Thanks

Sounds like a faulty hard drive to me

I did a deep format of the hard drive and all ok now. Ta

Nice one

I would be very wary though of trusting the hard drive with any data.

There is a program called hdregenerator which can check for any bad sectors on the surface of drive.

I did a hard drive check and it came up as 100% healthy.
