hard drive help please ?

Hi All I want a bit of advice please regarding hard drives ,i have a 500G & 250G Seagate drives ,and want to know if i can just connect them to my motherboard via the SATA II connections on the board ? do i leave the little plastic pins on them on the conectors of the hard drives ?

You should be able to plug them right in. there shouldn't be a need for superfluous drivers.

The jumper on the back is to limit the drives to SATA1 speeds. Since you have a SATA2 controller you can remove them and lose them at your convenience. It won't have much real-world effect but will increase your burst speeds.
