Need help with my Samsung F3 1tB please.

I tried connecting by eSATA but couldn't get the drive visible in my comp so tried by USB and get the same problem but it show up in disk management as disk L: Also shows in device manager in which i am able to uninstall the driver in reinstall with no luck. you can hear the drive spinning up and everything.

i've had the drive since nov last year and for the last few weeks have been using it for my WDTV Live (which also won't recognize it) and is just about full of movies i ripped  Also have tried connecting the drive internally (direct to motherboard) but keeps crashing my PC at the Asus Screen.

Any ideas please?

So if you connect it using USB disk management reckons it has a drive letter but it's not showing in My Computer? What does disk management say the format type of the drive is?

Try changing the drive letter in disc management; sometimes previously mapped drives can cause conflict with drive letters

Can you give us a screenshot of it Disk Management

Does not say file format says "No Media" Also changed drive letter to M with no luck. The drive also shows up in Hotplug.exe

Here is the screen shot of both My comp and Disk Manager (Drive is L: Disk 2)

windows 7 again...

i had some major hard drive issues with my SATA drives after installing windows 7 and a few google searches shows that this is a common theme. For some reason windows 7 is killing hard drives. maybe some NSA DRM ?

what i read was do a scan disk on the drive, with right click scan, tick fix errors, do not tick scan for bad sectors.

then restart

edit: why did you partition the drive so many times for no reason ? you know that doesn't do the drive any good ?

How would i scan the drive as i can only see it in Disk Management and there is no option to scan the disk?

Reason for partitioning the drive is the drive with my OS on has backups of the my second drive which gets backed up weekly plus to a external drive, bit ott yep but i lost it all a while ago :(

Have put my XP drive back in and can now see the drive as Removable Disk but i can not access the drive. Also tried the above of repairing the drive but when i click start the box closes and nothing happens. Connected the drive back up internaly and manged to get into BIOS but will not show in BIOS neither.

Any other ideas please?

Here is a screen shot of when trying to scan the disk :

And when trying to access the Hard Drive:

Is the Hard Drive broken? If so how would i be able to wipe the drive so that i can RMA it.
