I got a new hard drive today, WD black caviar sata 3 6GBps, i installed it and turned it on and it didnt not recognize, though it was in intel storage management program, so i had a look and couldnt see how to get that onto my computer instead, so i went to the bios o see if it was there, it was not, so i changed ACHI to disabled, raid etc, and still didnt not register, now it wont pick up in the intel program either

i really dont know why its not in my computer

the system i have is:

Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z Intel Z68
Intel Core i7-2600K 3
OCZ ZX Series 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
G.Skill RipJawsX 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz
Corsair Force GT 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s [OS installed here with all programs and drivers]

if anyone can think of something please let me know

Have you looked in "Disk Management"?

The disk won't appear in "My Computer" until it's been formatted.

Right click on My Computer, select manage, click on Disk Management and hopefully you'll have a disk listed with unallocated space (approx. 931.3GB for a 1TB disk). Right click on the unallocated space to format the drive and allocate a drive letter.
