SO i just built my computer. IM using a SSD and a 500G samsung Hardrive. In the BIOS it shows both but the OS only shows the SSD do i have to format the regular hard drive to make it show in the OS

Be careful about formating the HDD.

If you had it connected when you installed Windows onto the SSD some files may have been installed to the HDD and Windows will be broken if you format.

The HDD should have been disconnected when you installed to the SSD.

Ya t wasnt plugged in during installing windows. Kinda by accident but sounds like it worked out perfect. I got it formatted works perfect now thanks guys

If the drive wasn't initialised there's no chance any files from the Windows install process would be on it. Agree any installs should be done with only the boot disk plugged in, just good practice
