so, i was having problems tonight - i have 2 hard drives, one with windows on and the other with games etc on. i had a couple of freezes and had to hard reset and now windows explorer cannot access the second hard drive 'g:/ is not accessible or corrupt'
its listed in disk management but no file system is listed - the other drive is correctly listed as ntfs and seems to be working - i'm using it now
i'm doing a long discwizard scan but not sure what that will do.
is there a good piece of software that can scan and recover these type of errors?
i'm xp btw. the drive is recognised in the bios ok so i'm hoping its a software problem that can be corrected.
thanks
edit: just checked - explorer says: 'g: is not accessible. the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable'
