Had my computer for 4-5 yrs now and have a 80GB Baracuda. I've found the computer to be a bit slow now, even after many formats and windows re-installations and what not. Does a HD get affected by age? No idea about this, lol. If it does i'l look into a new one and any recommendations would be welcome :) Don't want to spend too much, and don't need too mc storage either. 80GB or above though, since i'm used to this 80 now :)

If it's old, then chances are it is 5,400rpm and only has about 2mb of cache - which is rubbish, going by todays standards. :p

As per the usual Basmic tradition, I am going to stand by Hitachi (once IBM) drives and recommend this 160gb drive to you - spending £8 less, gives you 80gb. For the sake of future proofing and the £8 difference in price, I have no problems recommending you this 160gb drive.
