Hi,
Need some advice please.
Bought a couple of Western Digital WD5000AAKS drives in January this year from OCUK.
One is now faulty. After managing to retrieve most of my data, i've ran WD diagnositics and it comes up with errors.
I went onto WD website to arrange RMA and it doesn't have a UK warranty, it only has a US warranty.
Phoned up WD today who confirmed to me, after asking for the serial number, that the drive only has a US warranty and does not have the 3 year warranty as advertised on OCUK website. They said it must OCUK'S supplier supplying non-European drives in error.
Bit late in the day for me to contact OCUK now but have the burning questions:
Is this usual?
Will OCUK honour an RMA directly to them in this instance?
Thanks
