I've been using one of these for years now but I'm having problems with it at the moment and need some help:

It's plugged into one of the SATA connections on my Asus P6X58D-E board. I have the latest Intel Rapid Storage drivers for Win 7x64 installed.
What happens is that when I plug a drive into the tray all my other partitions (in explorer) are removed and then rebuilt and the drive shows up in explorer. The drive shows up ok in the Intel RST manager and everything works ok. It's just a pain that the other partitions are removed and then rebuilt as if I'm copying data it gets cancelled because the connection to the drive is lost. I've never had this problem before so don't know what's causing it now.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the drivers and checked the cables but I still come across this problem. Running in AHCI mode as well. Any ideas?
