Hi I am having a problem. First system details. ASUS A8N-Sli with A 200 gig SATA on channel 0 and a 160 on channel 1, I am having problems when installing windows it says the second half of the 0 drive is C and windows installed on the first half which is E. So what I want is 0 to be C and D and then the second drive on 1 should be E. My question is how should I format the drives i.e primary logical set active and is there something in the bios I am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Jeff

So you have installed windows on "E" Drive by mistake? The best thing to do would be to go in to computer management and change the drive letter of "C" to something else like "F" for now - I dont think you can change a windows drive's letter because it would break all the location paths etc so your best bet would be change the "C" Drive letter to F, delete the "E" drive in windows setup, then create a partition with it and it should rename itself C, then install windows on it.

<edit> Once your windows drive has the correct letter and you've installed windows you can then change the other drive letters to what you want using disk management in the computer management bit in control panel.
