Hard Reset (PC exclusive) - Thread

Some of his point I just dont get he is moaning about it being hard and having to repeat parts. Im glad its not holding our hands like most others im looking forward to getting killed allot and getting rage :D
 
Another issue is that Hard Reset is a particularly short affair. It can be cleared in around four hours, with an ending that doesn't feel like an ending at all. In fact, the game's conclusion feels more akin to just getting rudely thrown out of the game without any sense of closure. It's a shame that such a consistently engrossing game is so jarringly cut short.

Does sound a little like they wanted it released in the spot between the 2 next big games and so had to rush it and cut it a little short sad times :(
 
Just played the demo and it's great fun for a blast gfx are in a different league to say the low quality textures etc in crysis 2 well crysis 1 had better textures than 2, but it goes to show what the pc can do if not held back gfx wise , I don't know what people expect for this game its not ment to be a deep rpg or anything like that it is what it is , no holds back blaster , reviews moaned about the ai lol this isn't a tactical shooter it's a shoot everything with as big a dam gun as possible , I love it great for sticking on for a blast to relieve stress , make refreshing change not to have to hear moans about camping etc , yes there is no mp but at least the devs were brave enough to release a demo ..... Lots of bigger companies should take head .... Bf3 is prime example , yes I pre ordered but I have a feeling we are all going to be disappointed and it's going to be a bc2 with improved gfx .......I can't see dice doing anything different now tbh .....
 
I like the game but it's hard to warrant a £23 purchase for a game with just a short single player campaign, will wait for it to hit £10 or below and then hit it.
 
Same I really dont want to spend full whack on it for 4-5 hours. If it was just a bit longer. Will not be acquiring it any other way but will be waiting on a sale price. 12-15 is the right price

The first thing I noticed when I booted up the game was an option for "Fast menu", which takes away a lot of the ****ing around with the menu screen which there was in the demo, switching between menus now is a hell of a lot faster.

You can also autosave if you want by binding a key in the console, so 2 of the gripes people had with this game are already gone out of the window.

The 2nd level is even more intense than the first, not even come across 1 boss yet, and no, not all the secrets are hidden behind walls, they're all over the map.

I don't see why anyone isn't talking about this anymore, it's awesome.

The game defo gets harder through each level. I only just realised you can change the FOV with a slider, so I'm experimenting what setting I like for that :o Gonna post some more screenies in the screenshot thread soon. Defo buy it if you can, very good game, my fave of the year so far.
 
Got it also! Absolutely loving it runs even better then the demo! Just finished 2nd level and when they all come running gdown the stairs hahahahab brilliant shot the ***** out of the walls and if caused a massive explosion!

This engine has huge potential!
 
Played and completed 5/10

I didn't rush and it took me about 7 hours. Game is ok but is not worth the asking price, i would say £12 and no more.
It feels unfinished, the enemy variety is poor, the AI is non-existent and the weapons take to long to switch modes leading to frustration in fire fights.

Not sure if you can mark it down for poor AI as that is how it is supposed to be.
