Hard Reset (PC exclusive) - Thread

It's a shame MP dictates if you buy a game or not, you must have missed out on a lot of the only decent titles this year, like the witcher 2, portal 2 and deus ex: HR.

not at all, I purchased both the Witcher 2 and Deus Ex HR because they are your typical story driven RPG type games and vastly different to Hard Reset.

I'll wait for HR to be in a sale maybe, but I have tons of shooters in this mould it's just I prefer competative play in fast and frantic fps.

Not to mention classics like Half-Life, Mass Effect, Fallout, KoTOR, Crysis, Original Deus Ex, Metro 2033. Man you miss out on a lot of great games.

I have practically all the games you list but over time preferences change, your making silly assumptions.

I never play through SP campaigns in the likes of MoH or BC2 and I'm sure there are plenty of other people who don't either :)

I just started up my Steam client and this demo is no longer in my library . . .what the hell is that about? I have not uninstalled this demo!

Edit: Its still in my steamappps folder but wont show up in the client.

Just got the demo and i'm loving this, think i'm going to pre order on steam. It has great gfx and still runs great maxed out for me, gameplay wise i'm loving it.

Just played the demo. Graphics are great (Ultra) and it runs well. My only niggle is that 4xFXAA takes a good chunk out of my frame rate compared to MLAA. 2xFXAA is only slightly worse (1-3fps) than MLAA. Not sure which one is better, though, but I ended up using MLAA for the demo as it was giving me 75+fps. Mouse feels very nice - seems like forever since a game came out on PC with perfect mouse responsiveness. Feels like an old-style PC FPS as well, which is certainly nothing to complain about.

Loved the demo :)

Will go on the top of my wishlist :D Just really liked the responsiveness, graphics and that I actually had to move back to defeat the enemies. Makes you actually feel like you are being attacked and you are being pushed back which a lot of games lack with there cover and shoot systems.

i7 920, 6gb RAM and GTX480

1920x1080, Ultra with MLAA = 70-90fps throughout the game :)

Defo needs more chest high walls  :p

Really impressed with this, its visually stunning and runs perfect fully maxed out, although very linear I do have a soft spot for these hectic shooters, I loved Pain Killer so I'll definitely be investing in this

Fun game, great performance and visuals. Completely maxed out 4x aa 16xaf 1680x1050 averaging over 90fps.

Hmm didnt have it on ultra before just high, with ultra on and mlaa i get about 35-40 fps. It was playable i guess but would be nicer if was at the min of 50fps.
