Hard Reset (PC exclusive) - Thread

No AA with fraps recording, 4XAA in game hovers around 60-65 but does dip to 45-50 in very heavy action, especially explosions going off in your face. I can live with that performance but I prefer a constant 60 FPS so MLAA is the way to go.

just uploading video max settings 1920x1080

full demo completion (will be 1080p when finished )

just had a play on the demo, this has got to be the must have game for this year, maxed out settings with MLAA getting around 70-80fps at 1920x1080 :D the whole game looks lickable :D

Good demo. There's some lovely touches, very nice textures and I like the cyber-punk environment. It's definitely a game for me at some point.

With MLAA, which I actually thought looked better than FSAA for some reason, the most consistent peak frame rate seems to be around 95 - 105 (though it did reach quite a lot higher), never noticed it go lower than the 70's. Probably because I didn't use FSAA for long, I can't really recall the highs and lows, 55 - 60 and down to 45 - 50 I think, though even then it still ran well.

What a breath of fresh air this looks to be.

Just had a go, seems nice but a bit buggy as when i was playing i was trying to tweak quality vs fps and i turned aa off then on and the screen was black it wouldnt display anything so had to alt and tab and close the process with task man.

Also im not sure how to put points into things as in that secret area at start you get points dont you but the game doesnt tell me how to spend them i.e a window for points to assign or the key for to access it or anything.

Physics are nice.

Textures are a little low res i thought.

Shame the game isnt 60fps as some said here, best i can get is high and no AA about 58fps but who plays with no aa these days :p And with mlaa i got about 48 and 2x fsaa about 40fps to 38fps.

Edit - Damn that section where loads come at you packs of them dog things and about 3 or more of them charger mini boss things. Tried a few times but just gave up and quit when i cba to do it when its that hectic. :p

Sounds like you need a new graphics card if you want 60+ FPS and aren't getting it.

Also you assign points at an upgrade station. Pretty sure it explains that when you first pick up some points and when you reach the first upgrade station.

Sounds like a great game. I'll download a demo, if I enjoy it, I'll certainly buy it. Money is tight here, but got to support people who actually make the effort and I think I can give half a nights worth of drinking in support!

Just gave it a go, runs like a dream for a start.

Also good fun from what you see of it, for the price it looks like it could be good old school shooter fun.

Looks like there is plenty of guns and upgrades, which is nice.

Will buy this.

I can't say I'm not dissapointed at no multiplayer, that would have been awesome. But for many reasons mentioned above, supporting these type of games is important and the single player does look like a lot of fun. (Might try the demo out later, if I get the chance).

Regardless it's got my money.

Looking at Raven's screen shot, it looks to use quite a lot of memory, more than I initially expected anyway.

it looks like a cracking shooter, great gfx and gameplay but without multiplayer it's not a purchase for me :(

It's a shame MP dictates if you buy a game or not, you must have missed out on a lot of the only decent titles this year, like the witcher 2, portal 2 and deus ex: HR.

Not to mention classics like Half-Life, Mass Effect, Fallout, KoTOR, Crysis, Original Deus Ex, Metro 2033. Man you miss out on a lot of great games.

You're playing on a mid-range GPU from two generations back, so I'd say that's pretty damn good! :p

The game looks and plays really well... With this and Serious Sam 3 we should be in for a great old school blast-fest this summer!
