To be honest if you have to explain why it qualifies for "retro slammin'" status then it probably isn't. All I see is an otherwise bog standard 3-series BMW that's been lowered too much with the wrong offset wheels on.

Big difference between that and, say, a Golf with the German/Euro retro look, like this for example:

It's the same thing! Taking the styling cues usually given to watercooled VWs and using them on a BMW!

He's taking a look usually reserved for european cars and applying it to a Charade.

What are you finding so hard to understand? I've already stated I don't see many Mk3 Golfs around where I live compared to E36s. Do you have a fundamental problem understanding what I've written?

Just finding it strange because it is the complete opposite to what I (and most people, I'd imagine) experience.
