Hard wired internet access gone

Hi folks

I've very recently dropped the innards of my PC into a new case, with various PCs I've done this painlessly on approx. 5 occasions, however it looks like on this occasion my luck has run out.

I can no longer access the internet via hard wiring. I'm with Virgin media the superhub 3 is working fine, I've tested this via my Daughters Laptop

The mobo is like me pretty aged a Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

Currently I'm using the said computer via a USB wireless card everything, other than the hard wired network adaptor is working fine, can anyone give any pointers to solve the issue please

Did you do a format at the same time?

Check device manager and see if the connection is showing there.

Yes, I've tried both of the above, the connection isn't showing in device manager & reformatting the PC didn't improve the situation I'm afraid

No, other than the missing internet connection everything is completely normal.

Jeez, I've been messing around with this for a number of days, it's got me beat I'm clueless what to try next.

I can't tell you how many times I've tried that, I've tried until the air went blue

PS I even tried removing the BIOS battery over night

Have you checked to see if onboard networking is disabled in the BIOS? That would stop it appearing in the device manager.

Has one of the connector pins in the NIC hole come loose and dropped out? There should be eight in there.

I'm not 100% with the above, however the BIOS is a saved option at OCUKs setting, when I purchased the PC from them, I'm rather surprised that still remains an option after removing the BIOS battery, the date went back to Gawd knows when, but the OCUK option remained.

Yes, all 8 are present & correct, would it be worth squirting some switch cleaner in there? With the PC off of course

Give more info. Screenshot of Network, network adaptors screen, screenshot of Device Manager, Network adaptors screen.

Connected directly to the router? or using other switches / powerline?
