I've Just turned 40 and was one of these people, lots of Raves (Fantazia, Universe, and free parties (Spiral Tribe ) mental in the early 90's :D

I did hit it hard and had some amazing times but it ended in some darks times and a few stints in Rehab :(

Still the sounds of Topbuzz/Ratpack/Ratty/Easygrove still give me goose bumps if I here it. :)

i remember my first rave at the grand old age of 15 was a spiral tribe event in lechlade (gloucestershire). it was pretty big and made it on to the local news. i loved the descriptions the newsreader gave: "speakers the size of your kitchen" or something like that. :D

they played this track loads of times...


the bass on it blew me away. :cool:

Say what you will about the state of the people in that Russian rave in forest(same goes for all of them now I have flicked through) but the feeling those guys will be getting from dancing to music that is above anything you could ever describe in that moment is just mind blowing. It is impossible to describe the feeling you have, I miss it at times. Haven't been to a really good night out in ages.

There is another Bust an Old Jam in March, but it sold out within a few weeks of the tickets going on sale.
Worth keeping an eye out on their Facebook page though, returned tickets do crop up for sale here and there.

only drum n bass that's real and a lot of electric stuff is coming out of russia. :cool: not heard a decent tune in uk dnb hc whatever for years !

only interesting stuff in uk at mo is grime. not everyone's cup of tea but some really good stuff at moment.

44 now and I absolutely loved the late 80's and early 90's. I really miss those days.

Isn't limewax Russian? He has been around a while and was banging out tunes when he was something like 15/16 utter filth as well.

God this brings back memories :D

When we found out this was done on an Amiga 500 we set out trying to make our own (some were bad lol, some were good)

Cannot believe how long ago this era of music was! Brilliant times :D
... now where did I put my yellow dust mask and glow sticks lol!

i mainly listen to grime now again. only thing which has much of a creative vibe at moment.

hiphop not really doing much dnb is mainly just liquid wheres all the dark stuff :(

hardcore is just silly :p.
 
I was a hardcore raver back in the early 90's . Went to many world dance events a lyyd airport in kent and a few at wembley ,Awol and desire events also and and took lotts of happy pills along the way . The vib back then was like nothing i have ever experienced since and it wasn't just because of the pills . Go to a club or rave today and everyone wants to fight or pose .No one cared what you look like what colour you was or were you were from .
