Hardest PC Games Ever

I thought far cry was too hard especially when the "easy" setting is not very easy. I enjoy more the exploration etc than pixel perfect shooting/dodging etc. I only get to finish games like that if its the only game i play at the time

Ive played a few.. i think i agree with what they are saying mostly.

System Shock 2 was too hard because i physically couldnt play it. It used to get me so on edge that my heart would be racing and i just felt like i was going to explode. Had to stop after about 20 minutes of play from the start and then 10 minute intervals and only got about 50 minutes into the game.

FarCry i loved, and i used the ingenius method at the end with the chair from the other room to block the doors so i could go back and stock up on more rockets etc. Completing that was one of those great "IVE BEATEN YOU YOU STUPID GAME" moments..
 
same, only one ive played was san andreas on the xbox..... and naf is it hard lol, none of the GTA games are hard, just a lot of stuff to do...

Septerra Core (PC)

Not so much hard, as extremely long and i'd find myself revisiting the same place hundreds of times looking for an item hidden in a stupid place. This wasnt helped by the fact there was a bug in the game that made a particular item not appear if you finished missions in a certain order.

First game i ever HAD to patch. :p
 
I'll agree with the #1 spot. AvP was stupidly difficult and you would often end up dieing for no reason what so ever.
 
well san andreas was not so hard far cry was hard just on the end beside volcano were you had like 20 mutants and stuff predator nice game could be harder tho :P there is never hard enough :p
 
I've played and completed:
Farcry
Homeworld 2
Grand theft auto: san andreas (which i found easy)

I've played andn ot complete:
Alien vs Predator, man that games hard.
 
Homeworld 2 was easy
Far Cry wasn't really that hard it was only the lack of a quicksave that made it "challenging"
 
took me nearly 2 years to finish far cry on realistic, and im so glad i did. I play it on easy now and im laughing all the way through :)

The hardest pc games i can think of is:
X3- didnt have a clue what to do
Neverwinter Nights 2- i just couldnt kill that boss in the arena on act 3 i think?
 
I completed AvP with the pred...not with marine though - so insanely hard. Couldn't play as an Alien due to motion sickness.

SS2 is pretty easy once you know what you're doing (surprise, eh?) - main thing is knowing that the guns suck, wrench rocks and that setting off the security alarm is a sure-fire way to die horribly ;) Oh..and stay away from engineering as much as you can, the cargo bays are horiiiible :p
 
I dont see how GTA: san andreas is hard at all unless they mean getting 100% by finding all the unique jumps etc but thats just tedious
 
GTA SA was easy but that mission where you have to fly the small rc planes was hard. Far Cry I admit was quite hard, completed it though :). Final Doom I used to always just use iddqd. Memories.
 
FarCry wasn't that hard, only hard part of it i thought was when you went through them doors into that big room near the end and had to fight all those soldiers with shields, took me an age to get through there, other than that was bog easy. :p

I never finished AvP, but thats cos I thought it was pretty crap TBH...


That list is a total crock of poop, theres been FAR FAR harder games out than those on that list... I mean frikkin GTA... ARE YOU KIDIDNG ME.


Lets see them play Fade to Black...

Or what about Diablo II on Hardcore... you spend weeks fighting hoards of monsters.. aand... oh you died? Tough crap. Your saves are deleted, your character is purged from the system. Try again punk.

Well, I'll play through far cry when I get a better pc. Other than far cry I'm not interested in really old titles, though I do hear system shock 2 is good.
