hardrive image question

hi guys

i have a acer pc which has 2 hardrives (c drive and d drive)

i only use the c drive but im thinking of creating a backup disc image of the c drive to put onto the d drive?

is that a good idea as i dont think i will ever use the other hardrive so i though i would just put a image of the c drive on it?

Do you have two physical HDD's or is it one HDD split into two partitions? The reason I ask is Acer often use a hidden partition for a system recovery image so be careful it's not this you end up overwriting to.

^^ Sorry this is on their laptops... with a desktop I don't see no reason why you can't do this. I prefer to store drive images on an external HDD but for peace of mind.
