hardrive showing 127gig

What OS are you trying to install on it? At least XP SP 1 or Windows 2000 SP3 if memory serves right Also what motherboard are you using, BIOS has to support 48 bit LBA.

i have sorted that now i cant get 2nd hardrive to work.

what i mean is when i connect it up and try to boot up computer will not startup with it on when both are connected
