I've had a 201b 'black widow' for a couple of years now and want to replace the front two fans, do i have to pull the front cover off?

You have to remove the Mesh. 2 Screws either side of the front or, you can remove the front. Bit fiddly but can be done.

Yep, and when you remove the front fascia panel be very careful of the wires on the right hand side, You'll damage the connections otherwise, and have to resolder them. This is one (the only) bad design in these cases imho.

Its not that bad really with the buttons, at least you can get to them easily to do soldering and replacements, some other cases take hours to figure out how to get to the LED's and then you can't change them.

You don't have to take the front panel off at all!

Remove both side panels and you will see inline with the grill two holes in which you will find the screws (two per side) you will need a decent length screw driver and preferably one with some magnetic hold, unscrew the screws on both sides and then gently prise the grill out but sloting the screw driver in through one of the side holes at an angle. If your unsure on what i mean email me and i'll take some pictures for you

And your point is I went into more detail and offered to provide pictures should browncoat not be 100% sure

Remember ACPCUP it's not only you that requires a second opinion or needs to ask at least two people the same questions!

Looking at the front of the case, yes you can replace the fans without taking the fascia off, but, its is easier with more access to the grill screws. You've just gotta be wary of the front panel cabling, thats all. I reckon both methods are valid meself.

Who were you trying to help by quoting me and posting "see post num 42" in bold which came across as very arrogant, in a somewhat childish manner.

Your comment about myself and Yewen will not do you any favours, there is no need to throw your toys out of the pram because I pointed out above that you had asked both Yewen and I the very same questions with regard to a black widow case you had been offered.

Oh and the answer to your email is yes and yes, your attitude doesn't endear me to want to help you any further.
