Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey lol

it's not just the actors that will be missing but also the main draw which is the big tie in that they all had to avengers. i keep going back to captain marvel because it's the most freshest, but i know not one single person that said they saw that film for any reason other than because they heard captain marvel is important in end game and they don't want to be confused watching end game when she does whatever she does. in the end she was rubbish as was her film.

Well blimey, with that huge sample size it must be true.

Avengers will still exist, just with different heroes.

you think so? i have never taken that this is the plan from marvel. i've took it that they've planned exactly what we've had so far, with now just a few films here and there left before the really slow down the movies that they make per year. heck you may even find a complete break from marvel movies for a while. i can't imagine they plan to keep going forever. similar to how star wars was before disney took over, i'd have thought they planned to have big moments with lots of films, then a gap before they come back to them.

They'll still be billion dollar films, but I agree, with the loss of Chris Evans, Hemsworth and most particularly Downey Jr, they now lack the really charismatic characters and they'll struggle to replace them with the same level.

My guess would that the new Marvel "Avenger-esque" films will be based around the Guardians of the Galaxy crew inc Thor and I see those films doing quite well, but things like the Eternals, Dr Strange/Cpt Marvel sequels etc I don't see being as popular as Marvel would want.

Tony Stark has handed the Avengers initiative over to Spider-Man (obviously there’s potential contract issues with Sony that could trip that up). I can certainly see new characters continuing to be introduced and brought together every few years under the Avengers banner. But it doesn’t need to be the Avengers, Marvel have plenty of super team setups to plunder and it looks like X-men are definitely being brought into the MCU in the very near future (Captain Marvel 2 is likely to introduce an x-men character).

Anyway, back to Harley Quinn.

I saw it tonight with my wife and just found it all a bit dull and boring to be honest. Jokes didn't land, weak villian who just relied on his henchmen, Victor Zazz was terribly written/acted.

I gave it 6/10
My wife gave it 7/10 (and she loves Harley Quinn)

Edit - There was nothing woke about it though...

Rather see another series of Daredevil or Punisher than another Marvel movie(if they went with a similar style), at least the action in the TV shows is good, the action in the latest Marvel movies is so diluted/blurry/cut so kids can watch it.
