Harry Redknapp gone

No, but look at the time on the report, it says 9:55pm today. That's where the rumour mill appears to be drawing its' inspiration from. What are they saying on Sky Sports News channel? that's usually more up to date than the website.

Unless it's a different report, its saying Last Updated: June 13, 2012 7:53pm. Until I see something confirming this officially from Spurs I don't believe a word of it.

Edit - Yep, its a rehash of an earlier report. They've updated it with a quote from Redknapp saying give me a new contract or all the players will leave. It's nonsense, he's not left at all.

clear your cache? anyway, it's updated again and the headline now says: "Redknapp 'to leave Spurs'"

Sky Sports sources understand Harry Redknapp is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur after nearly four years in charge at White Hart Lane.

Speculation about Redknapp's future has been building steadily since the end of the season, with reports suggesting that relationships have become strained over contract negotiations.The 65-year-old's current deal expires next summer and he has previously made it clear that he would like to be offered a longer agreement.
Redknapp has also stressed in the past that he has no problem with chairman Daniel Levy, and dismissed claims earlier this week that he had resigned.
But while he had wanted to remain at Spurs, it is thought they have now decided to part ways following a meeting between Levy and Redknapp on Wednesday.
It is understood that a severance package is being discussed and Redknapp will officially leave the club by the end of Thursday.
Redknapp did achieve Levy's goal of reaching the top four last term, but Spurs missed out on playing in the UEFA Champions League after Chelsea's penalty shoot-out win over Bayern Munich.

There's far too much covering on SSN (the TV channel) for there not to be something in this, if it all turns out to be false then not only will Sky look stupid but I'd imagine Arry and Sandra would be in front of the TV camera's right now denying the whole thing :p

I'm not saying theres nothing in it. I just think this is yet another move from Harry and his media mates trying to put pressure on Spurs to give him what he wants, using the players as leverage against Levy in an attempt to get a new contract.

Premier League is now going to be very interesting next season, a lot of new faces both on the field and in the dug outs

New Managers;

Rodgers -> Liverpool
Lambert -> Villa
Hughton -> Norwich
Clarke -> West Brom
Laudrup -> Swansea?
??? -> Tottenham? (which could then possibly lead to ??? -> Everton)

August cant come soon enough :cool:

Everyone you have named bar Laudrup which is just speculation has already managed or been an assistant in the EPL, hardly new faces it's just the same receycled as always :p

Maybe not new faces per-say but 4 of them are still very new to the PL and 2 of them are taking on massive jobs. If say Moyes takes over at Spurs that too will be very interesting to see if he can take the step up

this is typical bleedin spurs this is. who's going to sign for us now? remy was impressed with redknapp so that's shot!

key players have spoken on their respect for redknapp. manu now wont sign for us, VDV will be unsettled. modric will now push for a move, bale should be ok but still unsettled.

levy and redknapp had a strange relationship but levy has the final say in things. i just hope he has a plan.

i hope sherwood, ferdinand and allen stay, i'm sure they did most of the important stuff anyway.

How many players talk of respect for a manager while they are in charge, yet say the opposite after they are fired?

Remy saying anything about a manager is, nothing, how many times do you think a club is interested in a player, the press ask that player about the club and they say, "i'd move there if it wasn't for the manager who I dislike?".

It's football, its like any other job, publically everything is great with any current staff, if they get fired, the truth SOMETIMES comes out, the sucking up almost always stops entirely and the new manager is suddenly loved by the players.

If you were a player there, it was a pushing for top 4 club before Redknapp arrived, they weren't ever in with a chance of relegation when he took over, he's taken them no where, spent a decent amount. Would you be happy as a player to be in the title fight in January and lucky to get 4th in May?

could be, although Levy is a stubborn ***** so it may backfire...

If it's true I don't think Levy will be after Moyes, I think he's watched Newcastle's splendid rise up the league and will try to poach Pardew.

Pardew (and Newcastle) could well end up being a one season wonder, who knows? He did get sacked by both West Ham and Charlton lets not forget. Spurs would do well to nick their scouting system though ;)

I would expect it to backfire to be honest. I also doubt very much if we will go for anyone already plying their trade in the Premiership as they would be too expensive in compensation - except Moyes, as Everton I would imagine would be more open to him moving on if he wanted to, considering his long service.

Guardiola, almost makes sense. Club with a lot of history, a club he could take full control of and build from the ground up, some first team players he could work with... But I'd have to say that's a big dream and I can't see it happening! Cappello is another one but again probably too expensive. If Harry has gone, I'm just hoping its not Martinez or Moyes really, and I'm not even sure why I wouldn't want Moyes in charge.

the only good thing (other than the cup) that came from ramos was modric. modric wouldn't have come if it wasn't for ramos. i never heard modric **** him off when he went.

I'm not suggesting it's a good idea, it's just that like so many people in football, Levy is an odious, hypocritical, short sighted git, and going for a manager who is flavour of the month is pretty much what I would expect from him

It was always going to happen sooner rather than later. It is no secret Levy and Redknapp never really saw eye to eye, and what with the flirting with the England job, taking his eye of the ball while cruising in 3rd, and generally digging himself a whole every time he winds his car window down to run his mouth to SSN it was bound to happen. He has done a decent job, we never had a bad season on the whole, just bad periods like most teams have. Cup performances (bar CL) were woeful with us always gap getting knocked out on a whimper.

It will be interesting to see what happens now in terms of ins and outs of players. A lot will depend on the caliber of the manager, a biggish name (within reason) will help, whereas someone like Martinez while a promising prospect may not be able to keep the top players and draw in quality players.
