Has anyone got Netflix HDR working on a Samsung TV yet

You have activated the extra subscription for 4screens and UHD haven't you? £8.49 per month

Also to stream netflix 4k your equipment needs to be HDCP2.2 compliant Are your TV and ROKU box HDCP2.2 especially the TV my panny only has 2 ports dedicated to HDCP2.2 that's hdmi 1 and 2 so make sure everything is connected properly. If your not connected to hdcp2.2 then 4k content might not even show let alone play.

did a quick search on google lots of people having problems with the roku box only outputting 1080 so it might be worth you having a look.

does it not have a netflix dedicated app inbuilt like the panasonics do? it's actually rather good but ultimately on 4k you still get some interpolation due to the compression. it affects some programs more than others. I'm really keen to try a 4k blu ray but really not keen on the price of the players.

Thanks for the reply again. I am pretty sure the Sammy 9000 is 2.2 compliant, and I have got the Netflix £8.99 account which includes 4K, but there is no way on the Roku box settings to enable 4K only 1080 under tv res.
Will try the inbuilt player on the Tv and see if that is any different.

Let us know if it works. I'm assuming it will

Try Marco polo that's in HDR 4k

Do any of you guys know if my TV is HDR compatible ??
i get the 4k logo on netflix but not HDR :( kinda sucks lol

I have a Samsung KS7500, the Netflix app shows HDR, however when it starts it does not tell me that I am in HDR. Unlike my PS4 that does tell you it's in HDR, when a game start with the TV telling me at the top of the screen. Anyone know whats going on?

What if you press the info button on the second (standard) remote? Should display the resolution etc?

check the settings. Apps don't show the HDR popup. But the settings will change and the backlight will be pumped up to 100

I know this hasn't anything to do with Samsung but just recently bought a Panasonic 4K tv, the 58" 902 series and I've got the Amazon fire stick connected to it. Now I've got he 4K sub on my Netflix account, so my tv also comes with Netflix so set that up and tried a few UHD shows ie Marco Polo and my tv settings were cranked up without me having to do anything so I imagine the tv just set itself up for UHD from what I have been reading ie backlight went to 100.

But when I turn on my Amazon fire stick I don't get any options for 4K shoes etc that I get with the inbuilt Netflix app on the TV. So I assume that the firestick isn't 4K compatible?? No biggie as I'll just use the inbuilt Netflix app on the tv if that's the case.

No not prime 4K, I haven't got prime as it is.

Thanks I assumed the firestick wouldn't do 4K. Guess I'll be ditching it as I no longer need it. The inbuilt Netflix app is much more faster than the firestick.
