That is the exact card I have the Aorus master version.....what power supply have you got for the 7900xt?I moved from a 3070ti to a 7900XT and at first I really missed DLSS but then I messed about with a few options in the unfamiliar AMD control panel and the click of one switch I'm getting around 350+ FPS in rust with a mix of medium to high settings at 1440p @ 165hz which is just incredible.
I would have gone Nvidia again but them just constantly skimping on Vram put me off, even the 5080 is rumoured to only have 16gb of ddr7 I believe which is shocking for what we know will be a very expensive card!
I don't regret switching to AMD and are very happy with my 7900XT,albeit load power consumption is a tad high but it performs!
So 850w is ok I have a corsair RM850x I think so should be ok then.Very nice!
I have a 850W BeQuiet Straight power 11 80+ Platinum.
Not had any issues whatsoever.
I have a few RGB fans (10) 2 lian li strimers and a LCD screen for my cooler other than that the same as in my sig.Yeah, I've not tested but id doubt my system pulls more than 600W in total under load so still plenty headroom left.
Interesting that they are related sort of makes sense now.I switched the other way, went from AMD to nvidia a couple of years back to give it a try, hated it......big time, over priced and cheaped out on vram which kept running out in games lol, it was a 3070 with 8gb of vram, on top of that I couldnt believe I needed a 3rd party piece of software to overclock or underclock it, I sold it as quickly as I brought it and went back to AMD, ive now got a 7800XT which runs everything I throw at it and got no intentions ever of giving nvidia another try.
But you guys do know that Lisa Su and Jesen Huang are related, they probably sit around a family dinner table laughing and toying with us all.
Will do gonna trawl the 7900xt owners thread tomorrow and watch some videos on best settings, options and tips on moving over from Nvidia thanks.I’ve heard the cooler is very chunky so cooling should be excellent. Let us know how you get on.
Thanks for the heads up as I do use MSI Afterburner for profiles for gaming and when I am just using PC for browsing the net and also a little undervolting. If you have ever used msi afterburner to tune an Nvidia card on your current system remove it as that can cause some very odd behaviour. You can always re install it. Download the latest AmD driver. Disconnect your network card or WiFi. Uninstall Nvidia drivers and turn off PC. Swop the cards over and power up. Install AMD driver and reboot. Connect network.
I was the same debating for ages but took the leap.....Ill let you know how I get on.ive been debating this for a while, I do love nvidia but amd seems to be more consumer focused compared to nvidia locking their tech behind the latest and greatest ive been wanting to use amd's frame gen stuff. ive got a 3080 in my main rig but have thought about getting a amd gpu for my sff pc in my nr200
Thanks for the heads up as these are things I need to learn lol.You don’t really need to use it as the AMD driver software is really good. You can do individual tuning per game and there is loads of tuning options. You can also do global tuning as well.
That's why I took the Leap good dealsI had a 1080ti which I swapped out for a 6700xt, the 1080ti was great but the 6700xt has been great too and haven't had any issues with either, looking to upgrade soon but trying to hold out for the next gen but some of the deals are getting tempting
From what I have seen on videos it looks user friendly.I prefer the AMD user interface over Nvidias
Exactly at the moment with the new windows 11 update when my mate PC comes on screens flick on and off for a few seconds and when he closes the game down the same happens, Nvidia and Microsoft can not work out whose problem it is .Yeah absolutely no regrets in flipping sides and not funding Jensen's midlife crisis leather jackets any more. But the biggest surprise to me was the drivers and software. The drivers are no worse than Nvidia's regardless to what a lot of people like to preach and the adrenaline software is heaps nicer to use than gforce experience
??? why Ive just come of Nvidia and there is no difference imo what is the problem you are getting.Considering sticking a rtx gpu in my rig as latest radeon drivers make web browsing a nightmare.
Same her now 2 weeks in and everything good.Swapped my 3080 for a 7900XT and no regrets.
Playing at 1440p most games high to ultra and get great fps the main game PUBG rocking at 235fps with a couple of adjustments to get that on nvidia cost me around £250 to £300 more.I was looking at the 7900XTX or XT moving from a 3080FE as I upgraded to a 4k screen, but I'll probably end up dithering until 5xxx comes out. What res are you playing at?
