Has it really affected you?

I've noticed my journey to work seems marginally less congested actually... It could just be the power of suggestion though, maybe the mums have decided that putting petrol in their Range Rover Sports to take little Joaquin and Barbara to school is getting a bit dear. Well, we can but hope.

Yes it has really affected me - I have a near 80 mile round trip to work (4 on 4 off) and in my Diesel Golf I'm really starting to notice the increase. I car share with one other person most weeks but when he is on holiday it hits me hard.
Unfortunately though, I can't find many jobs that will pay anywhere near the same amount of money closer to home :(

It's not really affected me because I'd already made some changes to my commute since buying the second car for my other half, we take that into work and not the S3, and even with these price rises, we're spending less on trundling about than we were before, a lot less. As we needed the second car anyway, it's win-win.

Enjoying the seemingly quieter roads when I do take the Audi though.

I still drive as much as I did before and have continued to drive a V6 so it hasn't stopped me driving but it has affected me as I obviously have less cash available.

Infact I drive more now as my commute to work is 20 miles each way compared to the 1 mile it used to be.

payed about £70 for 55 litres of diesel yesturday, well the company did:D

costs me about an extra £5 per tank but i havn't filled up this month yet :D

Yes, it costs me a LOT more to get to work than it did 5-10 years ago. That eats into my social life, having to think twice about visiting friends and relatives etc etc.

It's not just fuel that's gone up heavily relative to wages, everything has got more expensive like bread, electricity, rent as a few examples. My lifestyle is a lot more plain than it was 5-10 years ago, simply because I can't afford to live like that any more.

It isn't making all that much difference to me at the minute because I live extremely close to where I work.

I put fuel in the tank, pay for it and continue. Life goes on.

Know what you mean though - fortunately I don't have anything to support other than the car at the moment, so it's relatively grief free but I can imagine it being a major consideration alongside other things, as Jonny says :)

Has it effected me?

No, infact i've recently bought a 3rd car which is less economical than the other 2 :D

I've chosen to change my primary mode of transport as a result of the higher fuel costs. I still have to get to work somehow though, and public transport is not an option. The price just keeps going up and up.

Yes it has effected me big time (when it added on top of my rent increase of about £55 extra a week in last two years ) plus with everything every going up :(

Am trying to save for a smaller cheaper to run car right now....(not easy to save when you have much less money spare because of these rises)

It's made me drive a lot more economically. I got 40mpg from my CLK230K last week.

Ditto, I got 51mpg from my Saxo VTR a few weeks ago.

As I only do around 6k miles a year, I could get away with sticking £10 petrol in here and there. I'm now making an effort to put in as much as my wallet allows as every time I pass the local garage, the prices have gone up.

Thats a point, its made me start to think twice about random trips. Like going to the cinema, I always used to be like "im bored, anyone up for a trip to the cinema, ill drive", but now, its more a case of asking if anyone else wants to drive.

Gone are the days of 400 mile random trips in my mates Matiz because we were bored...

Kinda sucks now ive moved back home, i live in a village, miles from anything.... :(

Nope, I do 8-9k a year driving to work and back and get the pleasure of doing so in my car, I knew it was going to cost a lot so I dont really care as long as I save some cash every month.
