However the trend is going the opposite way and is driven by a disproportionate number of the offenders being BME, particularly young BME men. The group most likely to be recent immigrants to the country. Immigrants who tend to be arriving from countries where the treatment of women is appalling. Just because they arrive in the UK doesn't suddenly mean they're going to turn in to model citizens. They bring their culture with them. Both the good aspects and, as per this instance, the bad aspects.

It's dreadful, women going demurely about their business, not seeking any attention, sexual comment or impropriety, it's simply appalling that men might look at them as sexual objects.
