Has making a pass at a woman just become illegal?

Well, that's what happens when you allow alien cultures to propagate within your country. Especially cultures that are renowned for treating women as either second class citizens or objects.
I would scarcely call builders aliens, nor office workers from the 50's.

I mean i can understand the reasoning when you go back and watch what they were like back then compared to now, they smoked in the office, they drunk in the office, they groped the young secretaries.

**** me I've just described Number 10 today.

I'd certainly say many aspects of 1950's culture are alien. Particularly the points you've highlighted. Like I've just explained, we should be moving forward as those attitudes are dying out/phasing out however we're not. Things are getting worse. The stats on the perpetrators are clear. Sadly, as you can see from this thread, some people don't like it as it's their golden children that are disproportionately responsible.

They still do here at my place too, it's like a wonderful Midlands time warp :)

That is the thing that as always puzzled me about the left.

On the one hand they protest against the patriarch society, yet are all for the importation of men from even more patriarchal societies. What could possibly go wrong.

Governments have allowed our society to become a cesspit, and instead of solving the overall situation prefer gimmick laws.

From the sexual nature of the crime I assume the person would be put on the sex offenders register, further diluting it from its original purpose of listing rapists and pedos.

I never realized looking into a strangers eyes was considered sexual harassment. I’ll deliberately make an effort not to do so in future now I’ve learned this lesson. Here’s a website about it https://www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/article/staring-sexual-harassment

It's dreadful, women going demurely about their business, not seeking any attention, sexual comment or impropriety, it's simply appalling that men might look at them as sexual objects.

lol you dont half post some nonsense sometimes.

We have not had a left leaning government in at the very least 13 years.

Oh dear and that post is exactly why these laws are being passed.
You can't view those young women without seeing sexual objects.
You're not alone obviously.

Something you might not realise is that women actually want to look good because of how other women judge them, men are pretty easy to please, but women will know how much another woman's handbag cost.

Of course it isn't, it's just the usual MGTOWs in GD that try to portay it as such. No-one is going to get into trouble for normal behaviour any more than they ever have.

I mean, the whole thread title screams MGTOW, as if the things being cracked down on is what you constitute as "making a pass" at a woman, then this is directly aimed at you! :p

And that's perfectly normal and this new guidance wont affect you will it. The bit you seem to miss is there's guys who don't act as reasonably as you do.

No more or less than it ever was, its just now we tend to discuss and try and tackle issues that used to be swept under the carpet.
There are already laws for the people who don't act reasonably.

I wouldn't say swept under the carpet, most people just didn't look for a problem where it didn't exist.

They have been talking about this for years anyway, id be surprised if it actually comes to fruition. Its also impossible to police.

The Home Secretary is to toughen a proposed new street harassment law so that potential offenders cannot escape prosecution by claiming they did not realise their behaviour amounted to harassment.

However, campaigners said there was a loophole in the proposals that would let offenders escape prosecution by claiming they thought their behaviour was welcome, even if any other reasonable person felt it was not.

Mrs Braverman has now accepted their concerns and is backing an amendment that will close the loophole, by requiring a “reasonableness test” where a defendant “ought to know” their behaviour amounted to harassment.

Or full appreciation of the fact that cultural change over time should have these issues sodding off and confined to older generations. However the trend is going the opposite way and is driven by a disproportionate number of the offenders being BME, particularly young BME men. The group most likely to be recent immigrants to the country. Immigrants who tend to be arriving from countries where the treatment of women is appalling. Just because they arrive in the UK doesn't suddenly mean they're going to turn in to model citizens. They bring their culture with them. Both the good aspects and, as per this instance, the bad aspects.

Yeah I never witnessed a man watch a "fit" girl walk past and either wolf whistle at her or call out "alright luv fancy a shag" before all these immigrants came here. The country really has gone to the dogs

Those young ladies are out to have a good time. Not be leched at by what they would rightly consider a dirty old man who is old enough to be their grandad. So if they want to go and get laid that is their choice. Doesn't mean they have to put up with you catcalling them. Its not all about you.

Do the left want that? I think the left is more empathetic to genuine refugees, I don't know anyone who is for open borders. Even when we were in the EU we didn't have open borders.
