I think when Amazon launched that robot the other day it would not look out of place in that film. I'm of the opinion our future will be a cross between Terminator & Matrix unless we keep Machine AI in check, that's if Climate change doesn't make us extinct first.

Climate change won't make us extinct. It might kill billions of us, and it might destroy our "global civilisation", but it won't wipe us out. There are humans living in deserts, there are humans living in the arctic and there are humans living in pretty much everything in between. Some of us will survive. Give it a few hundred thousand years and we'll be back.
