im loving the fact that the voltage drops to 0.032 when idle though. thats insane!

Max 84c, temp flickers between 65c-78c during aida64 stress test. I did 4.8Ghz with 1.2v and walk away for 15mins. cpu was 90c+. Had to shut it down.

daily use its mid 30c and in game max 58c. no bsod for whole week.

Using Air cooling so I'm trying to keep the cpu voltage at 1.15v max. If I got time, I do some memory oc.

4.8 at 1.2 would be.. unbelievable.. i dont think even the review samples that websites had did that.

Hey james_2k, you using cpu-z 1.65? cause older version dont give correct reading. My idle is about 0.7/0.8v

If you are using cpu-z 1.65, how you get so low? offset or adaptive?

you have to enable c7 power state. adaptive

i was using 1.63 rog version from my motherboard. but 1.65 says the same things:

No luck with c7 power with adaptive. I know c7 power state works if I load optimised defaults setting. But overclocking with adaptive lowest idle is 0.688v. I must be missing something.

i had to manually turn cstates on, as on auto most of them were off. they didnt affect my oc

Switched most of them from auto to enable, windows 8 in balance mode. Still the same.

i only did this as i run 1/2 core at 48 multi and 3/4 at 47. and to do this i needed to turn on c3 state.

Currently back to optimised defaults, idle 0.112v. Maybe I just need to readup more.

Anyone else have their haswell overclocked and running low voltage on idle?

Ok, Got it working now, I have to enable everything under "CPU Power Management Configuration" (cpu c3 report, c6 report, etc).

De-lidding a Haswell i5 would the:
EK-Supremacy PreciseMount work on Haswell (I assume it would)

Also would it work on:
EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ- Nickel block?
